High tide
A colourful night on the beach of Petten, near the famous Palendorp. This time no wet feet, but just a full hour of total fun on the beach on my own.

Texel Paal 28 a cold sunset
Been here several times, mostly with clear skies and nice temperatures. But this year is different. Beautiful cloudy landscapes making every landscape photographer thrilled even outside the golden hours. After a nice dinner @Paal28 I was able to go out and shoot this panorama... Enjoy!
The North Sea (Texel)
A moody shot with some autumn light in the sky, birds flying high over the sea. Me having fun with the G7X. The sea I always love taking photos over there and simply standing on the shores. Have a nice day.
Negative space
Texel, de Noordkaap, no matter the time of year always a pleasure being at this place..... I remember this calm evening because in between the shots a black seal showed up, a close encounter....
Thanks for your comments and favs. I appreciate those!

Sunset @KaapNoord Texel
Spending holiday with friends at the beautiful Waddeneiland Texel. Driving out to the beach to shoot some moods, unfortunately no spectacular sky but some nice colors.

Thinking back on summer @LakeGarda
During my summer holiday I woke up very early, that happens, but without my alarm set at all. So I decided to go out, grab my ready-to-go camera gear and walk to my favorite photo spot not far away from our camping site. And as you might know, the colours can get astonishing before sunrise.... Together with a a hard grad, a ND filter Lee ND0,9 I leveled out the water in the foreground creating that silky look I like. Have a nice day.

Encounter on the shores of Riomaggiore Harbour
The fishermen and I...
Let me take you back to last summer. Decided that I would visit Cinque Terre just for one night. Had seen some shots online here at Flickr.
Had two moments in the Golden Hour, dusk and dawn. This shot is at dawn, and it was amazing, just thinking that from 9 am. till late in the evening the small streets are filled with tourists and photogs like me, but when walking out side at 05:00 am to shoot the sunrise I was the only one out there.... than around 6:30 am a local fisherman showed up, adding for me jus that extra touch of this special place to the image. Enjoy as I consider this not my best shot of 2016, but surely my most favorite image I shot in 2016.
Thanks for your comments and favs. I appreciate those!

Let's go to the beach #Rockanje | Alines anthem
On my bucketlist was this favourite spot of mine where a very good friend of mine Aline van Weert showed and produced some awesome shots with these fisherman nets. But it needs extremely low tide. 22nd June, unfortunately without Aline, with a small group of fans of this place from the photographers group Life on Pixels joined me to this fantastic photo spot! Aline thanks for the inspiration!

Do you want to go to the plage with me...
A phrase from a song from the Crystal Fighters.... and overtime I hear this song I have to think of one of the most lovely photospots near the 'Plage' in South Holland, Rockanje. Also this evening was quite spectacular where some bad weather was predicted, but it turned out to be fantastic with light and colours as you dream of.

Oostmahorn lighthouse
All you need is just a little bit of sunshine to vamp up the colours. And dispite taking several pictures it, just one is enough.
This morning started with some overcast, clouds drifted in but the sun managed for a few minutes too appear shortly after sunrise, warming up the scenery in front of me. Had also great fun using my Lee Landscape polarizer i.c.m. with a reversed grad.
Storm ahead near Den Osse #Zeeland #Schouwenduivenland
Den Osse is a village in the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, in Zeeland, Netherlands. Just for a moment a small flick of colours twisted the sky, while a rain cloud rolled in over the Grevelingen lake. The wind was too fierce for my 'borrowed carbon tripod and Fuji X-T10 system camera', but I think image quality is OK enough.

Little Lighthouse of Oostmahorn (Friesland)
Last weekend I spend some photo quality time with photobuddy Aline up north in the Netherlands in Friesland. Sundaymorning we woke up at 0520 am to drive up to the famous little lighthouse of Oostmahorn. The weather forecast predicted no clouds, so we decided best shooting opportunities would be before sunrise. The blue hour was magic with a nice touch of peach colours in the sky.
On my website you'll find some shots of earlier that weekend and a nice little story about getting stuck in the Wad. Read and see it here: nldazuu.com/over-laarzen-wadlopen-een-oude-praam-paniek-e...
Technique: using the Lee ND0,9 grad i.c.w. 84.5 mm. ultimate line reversed grad ND0,6 exif enclosed.
Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus The Hague @Bluehour
The Netherlands is full of historical places. The Kurhaus is in my eyes one of them. I've seen hundreds of images of this building, and had it on my wishlist for a bluehour for several years now.
The grand hotel Amrâth Kurhaus is located in the main seaside resort area of Schevening near the beach. The Kurhaus was built between 1884 and 1885 by German architects.
Panorama stitched out of 8 vertical shots and post processed in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC and Photoshop.

Been a couple of times to this place and always a nice moment...despite no true sunset but the colours and glow where just amazing. I hope this weekend to find the same atmosphere.. Enjoy!
Always a new golden opportunity @ Rockanje beach
Some places you keep coming back to. For me that is Rockanje beach. After a turbulent day the evening ended perfect!

Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Lighthouse
While spotting for nice places for a sunset I came accros this lighthouse. Clouds where coming in, giving the scenery that little extra. Had my 84.5 mm. ND4 0.6 Hard Grad on, balancing the bright sky and keeping detail in the foreground.
